RUTURN OF WHITE BIKES!!!
In the 1660s, some students had idea. They painted hangreds of bicycles white and placed them around Amstardm for people to use. They hoped to save energy> reduced pollution and provide free public transport.
It didn t work-thives took all the bicycles within weeks!!!
However, more then thirty yars later, the white bike is back in town-this with a computers chip to record its every move! To take a bicycle, you have to insert a special card. The new white bake is unusual design whith bright colours so there»s no point in stealing one- everyone would know!
There is alredy less traffic in central Amstardam, because both locals and tourists have been using the white white bikes!

Hello everybody from Ukrain! Here is little report of Bicycle journey through Crimea during 8 days long (450 km).

For this hike we chose middle of June, because of soft weather - not so hot in east stepp part of Crimea, and warm water in the sea to swim and pleasant conditions in our mountains. Our route was from town Kerch at the east, across whole peninsula to Sevastopol at the west.
From Sevastopol where we live, we reach Kerch with electric train to Simferopol then with night train. So we were there early morning. At the first day we rode near Azov coast with little beautiful sand bays. During this day we didn't meet any people. Next 2 days our path laid through many little villages at the east Crimea off all main roads. At the end of the third day we finally left flat part of our track and reached the mountains. In this day we cover 90 km. and were at the 1 km height above the sea! It was wonderful there. We made camp at the edge of great plato, near the lake, there was only shepherd living there and several hundred of horses. Shepherds even let us to ride their horses. Next day we rode cross plateau at the heigt of 1,2 km, it is wild place without any building and people. It was the most beautiful part of our hike. When we came down to the road, we kept on riding cross different little villages to the direction of Sevastopol. During this days we saw many interesting things, swam in different lakes and rivers. And one more time made sure that Crimea is excellent place for bike journey.
